The UCF McNair Program

The McNair Scholars Program provides an enriching educational experience for students from underrepresented groups and first-generation/low-income students to excel as undergraduates, prepare for graduate school and ultimately enter faculty positions. The program works closely with participants through their undergraduate requirements, encourages their entrance into graduate programs, and tracks their progress to successful completion of advanced degrees.

Program Highlights

Robert Miguez, who is currently studying Bioengineering at the University of Michigan, won the NSF Fellowship.

Melonie Williams Sexton, who is currently studying Cognitive Neuroscience at Vanderbilt, won the NSF Fellowship.

Anamary Leal, who is currently in the Doctoral Program in Computer Science at Virginia Tech, won the GEM Fellowship.
